- CONTACT US
As a sewer utility company, Sandy Suburban Improvement District is prohibited from shutting off services due to non-payment of sewer fees. In order to provide recourse for recovering past due sewer fees, we have been granted authority by the State of Utah to place a tax lien on a property that is more than 2 months past due.
We lien two times per year, once in January and once in July. In January, any account balance due prior to November 1st will be subject to a lien. In July, any account balance due prior to May 1st will be subject to a lien.
Once a property is liened, the liened amount is removed from our account and becomes payable to the Salt Lake County Treasurer. If you have any questions regarding the liened amount, or to make a payment on the liened balance, please contact the Salt Lake County Treasurer's office at (801) 468-3400.
Effective August 1, 2012, we began sending bills to every residence and business in our District. Prior to this, only those accounts with positive balances received bills. Those who had credit balances were unaware of their actual balance until an amount was owed and a bill was mailed. Based on customer requests, we have now included all accounts with zero or credit balances as well. This will help you manage your account balance and get a better idea of when a credit will be used up.
We are now able to provide bills to both landlords and renters. Please see the link below.
We bill every other month according to the following schedule:
|Billing Period||Date Billed||Due Date||Collection Fee|
|January - February||February 1st||February 28th||March 20th|
|March - April||April 1st||April 30th||May 20th|
|May - June||June 1st||June 30th||July 20th|
|July - August||August 1st||August 31st||September 20th|
|September - October||October 1st||October 31st||November 20th|
|November - December||December 1st||December 31st||January 20th|
You now have more options available to pay your sewer bill. You can mail your payment, call us with a valid Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover or checking account, or pay online.
Online Payments - The Easiest Way to Pay Your Bill
Our new online bill payment option saves you time and gives you more flexibility in how you pay your bill.
If you have an Internet connection and an e-mail address, you can now pay your bill online. It’s fast, it’s easy, and you no longer have to write a check each month or find a stamp when it’s time to send in your payment.
How It Works
We have partnered with Xpress Bill Pay, the premier provider for online bill payment systems.
When you sign up for online bill payment you get a unique password that you use to access your personal account at XpressBillPay.com. Every other month, we'll send you a reminder e-mail to let you know when your bill is online.
Then, just log in through your Web browser and view your bill, which will look like the paper statement you're familiar with. Select a payment type - credit card, debit card, or electronic funds transfer; enter the information, and you're done!
It's that easy, and it only takes you a few minutes each billing period. Or save yourself even more time and sign up for automatic payments. Every other month, on the due date of the bill, the balance on your bill will be taken out of your checking account or charged to your credit card.

Many have asked, and the time has finally arrived. We now have the ability to print duplicate bills to send to both the landlord and the renter. With this benefit, the renter will get an original billing for the property, and the landlord will also have an original bill to be able to monitor the payment status and balance of the account. If your account is currently paperless, the landlord and renter will both receive an e-mail notification of the bill.
If you are a landlord interested in setting up this benefit, please print this form, fill it out and return it to Sandy Suburban Improvement District, 8855 South 700 West, Sandy, Utah 84070 or FAX it to 801-495-4076.
